"What is your religion?" -


It was a confusing question for me when I was asked what religion I belong to since at that time I did not know that my way of thinking actually exists as a religion as well. 
  I used to say: “I am spiritual but do not belong to any one particular religion or I am a Buddhist but I still believe in Jesus."
My daughter and son used to ask for one simple way to answer the question and the above written sentence was all I could come up with.
If you are like me and think that there is more than one way to God, you would be happy to know that there is a name for it.  It is called Vedic Tradition.  And thank God that now I finally have a name for what I believe in.  I can celebrate Jesus and I can celebrate Buddha and I do not feel that I am betraying anyone.
My Master Paramahamsa Nithyanada gave me that beautiful truth and Hinduism gives that opportunity to just celebrate God in all different expressions.
How can you really compare Incarnations, how is it possible not to be grateful for everyone of them and why on earth do we always have to choose one or another?  Why can it not be both?
So here, I love you Lord Jesus, I love you My dear Buddha and I love you Krishna, Shiva and all of you whom I do not know yet.  I hope you will all guide me to Me.

Amma's Darshan

Amma, the hugging saint from Inida spent three days in New York.  I went to get her darshan for the first time.   I heard about her from a lot of my friends and everyone was describing meeting her as a special experience, comparing to meeting a Mother.   I did my Guru Puja in the morning, asked Swamiji’s blessings to have a great experience and went to NYC. The hall was full of people.  As always in NY the crowd is beautifully unique: a typical Indian family in a traditional dress was sitting right next to an executive in a white shirt, expensive suit and a great haircut.  I am mentioning the haircut because the next person was with a hair tough to describe but probably rarely this hair experienced soap and water, forget the haircut itself .  I saw bare feet saddhus that looked so similar to their Himalayan brothers.  Really all walks of life manifested… Enjoying this colorful scenery I was patiently waiting for the program.  The line was long.  Finally I got my token tha

Enlightened Birthday

My birthday was yesterday and I had my mom and my son around.  My daughter and my husband were  travelling and despite the fact that they were so many miles away  they were the ones who woke me up to say "Happy Birthday".   My very artistic daughter draw "Happy Birthday Mom" in Chinese characters. I went to have breakfast with my girlfriend and we talked about kids (as all mothers do no matter what they celebrate).  My son said that he was going to spend the day of my birthday trying to understand me and my belief system.  He is 24.  I was very excited. We went to yoga  together. The major difference between me and my son: I love miracles and do not really care for explanations.  He loves explanations and do not care about miracles.  We talked and talked and  talked on the way to yoga.  He could not understand because either I was using the wrong terminology or I was not scientific enough or some historic facts  were missing.  Whatever...  I was glad we came to y
