Just an observation for me:  It is so much fun to have babies, so much joy.  You work 24/7 but I remember overflowing with love and energy.  It is also fun to communicate with your children when they are young adults: different outlook on life, a lot of chances to update myself and expand into this world.  My son and my step daughter are smart, efficient, interesting people.  They are so much more aware  than I was at 26. Teenage years - I do not know.  I am curious how I am going to survive or handle...I realized today that my baby is gone and this new being who always knows better, speaks very fast too to make sure there is no attempt to put any of my thoughts into the conversation, who is very emotional and actually seems to want to have these emotions, has arrived. I took her to India last July.  Tank you God for helping me with this because at least now she has a reference point.  By reference point I mean a state when you are peaceful inside, un-clutched, blissful.  She experi

It was such a mild winter this year that my small garden gave me several surprises: a small bush that I was thinking about digging out and planting something new remembered that it's alive and bloomed (!) with vibrant red flowers. Our pine trees (all!) have new growth and are soft to touch and a pleasure to look at. Miss Bliss (my rose bush) survived its first winter and started flowering.   Well, I have my own flowers for the pooja again. This is not just my house, the whole town seems to have this healthy, pretty look...

         Paramahamsa Nithyananda has been declared as the 293rd pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam, the world’s most ancient living Hindu religious organization. Guru Maha Sannidhanam Srila Sri Arunagirinatha Sri Gnanasambanda Desika Paramacharya Swamigal, the 292nd pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam (the oldest and most ancient Hindu organization), declared His Hoiliness Paramahamsa Nithyananda as his successor at a press meet held on 27th April 2012, in Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam’s international headquarters in Bidadi near Bangalore, India. .                  He immediately called for volunteers and started working on cleaning the temples, giving help, discourses, healing, etc.  Usual for enlighten being approach.    More honor means more responsibility.    His glory shows in the responsibly  he takes upon himself.  We then can watch in awe how these huge tasks are handled with grace and a wonderful smile.      But this post is not about that.  At the same time as all this celebration was

“I will never do competitions again!”, said a 6 year old winner. In the early afternoon, at the banquet for the winners of Mid Atlantic Spring Music Festival, Isha Iamanandra, a six year old student of Biryukov Academy, was patiently waiting for her trophies.  She won 1 st Place in Musical Theater, 3 rd place in Idol and a $200 dollars cash prize. Yet when she got them, Isha said “Mommy, I will never do completions again.  They are not right.  I will do shows and I will perform in the theatre though.” Isha’s decision was celebrated by her family and her Biryukov Academy teachers, because they too believe that the goal of every individual is to become the best expression of their own uniqueness; it cannot be achieved through a comparison of artists.   What do you think?
